I don't have to work tomorrow!

Right now, I'm watching the Amazing Race finale with my mom and Dave. We all agree this is the first finale where we're happy with all three teams racing towards the finish.

This weekend was nice and relaxing, but I have to admit I haven't started my homework for this week yet. I guess I'm waiting for tomorrow! I'm taking two classes this semester, to the horror of all around me. After the hell of last semester, I can understand, but I'm feeling pretty optimistic. My professors seem laid-back and easy-going. I say that now, but I hope I feel the same in a few weeks.

There's some big news coming about work, but I won't have any details for a few weeks. They're reorganizing our entire department, which means I'll have a new boss (grrrr) but less job responsibilities (woo!). We don't even know how this is going to affect our pay levels or even who the new managers are, but it has some people very worried. I pretty much know what my job title will be, and there's one manager I'm hoping to avoid, but other than that, I'm not complaining. There's not much I can do about it however, so there's no point in worrying, either.

I wish there was more to update, but that's all that seems to be going on in my life right now. Pretty busy! So here's some pictures of all the snow we got last weekend:

Hmm, December?

I can't believe it's December already! Like Andrew reminded me earlier, only 25 days till Christmas! I'm almost done with my shopping, so I'm in good shape. (Not so) Surprisingly, I'm more worried about my knitting projects that are due in January. I have a lot of work to do.

Speaking of work to do, I'm at the MHC library, diligently working on a practice set that's due Tuesday. I hate these practice sets because they're so much work, and each section requires me to get the previous one correct, or else I get stuck. So far so good, but it can go bad quickly.

I totally forgot about the shared iTunes libraries on the network here. It's hard to listen to them for a long period of time, since the list is refreshed so often. I'm listening to NPR in Minnesota instead for classical music. They won't shut up about the winter storm that's hitting them now. It's getting up here by tomorrow night, but they're expecting it to turn into sleet/freezing rain.

I think I'm heading home in a few, my keyboard sticks and it's driving me crazy. Dave poured cough syrup on it a few weeks ago (seriously!), and it clearly needs to be cleaned again.

I ran across Holidailies, so I'm going to try to post something everyday. Lucky you!

Hey, did you sign up for aChristmas card yet?? If you did, why didn't you comment with your address? That's more than half of you!! I can't give you your card without an address, you know...

Rainy Sunday

smart women
I feel like I'm reverting back to my MHC lifestyle, that is, the weekend days I very rarely had off from Target. Tracey and I had brunch this morning and gossiped, as is our now weekly tradition. I came home and I've been working on my Finance self-study course from my bed for a couple of hours. I work on the problems, and then take a break to either read, surf the web, or do my laundry. I miss the completely lazy days where the only thing I had to worry about was homework and I had all day to work on it. I haven't had one of these days in awhile, and while it's gross that it had to rain all weekend, I honestly don't mind. We need the rain and it makes it quite cozy around here. I guess I'll go and work on my problems more, since I really want to finish this chapter today. It would be really nice if I could complete a chapter a week and be finished with the entire course by the end of May. That way I can focus on my admission essays and the GMAT test over the summer. I'm pretty sure I have through September to apply for the October start of "real" MBA classes. I'm excited to start work on the degree but at the same time it's going to be real hard to balance work, home, friends, and school. Hmmmm.... at least I can put off dealing with it for 6 more months.
