Happy New Year's!

So I'm really not good at keeping this thing updated on a regular basis. Then again, it *was* the holidays and super busy. I pretty much spent the last two weeks of December baking, knitting, wrapping and giving. Oh, and getting too! Hehe, I got some really nice gifts, including the two big gifts I wanted:

- Canon Powershot digital camera
- Keurig Coffee Maker (awesome single serve coffee maker)
- a lot of knitting books
- gift cards (Kohl's, Starbucks)
- sushi plate set (from my mom) and a sake set (from Tracey) for me and Dave
- neat convertible gloves/mittens

So, yeah, Christmas was nice. New Year's was pretty uneventful, as Dave, Peter, and I stayed home, made dinner (yummy steak sandwiches), and watched 30 Rock. Yesterday, Dave's family wanted to go to Boston for Cheesecake Factory and Faneuil Hall, so we braved the snow and drove over. It was a lot of fun, despite the long annoying drive.

Stay tuned, I'll prolly do one of those 2007 year-end surveys.

Hmm, December?

I can't believe it's December already! Like Andrew reminded me earlier, only 25 days till Christmas! I'm almost done with my shopping, so I'm in good shape. (Not so) Surprisingly, I'm more worried about my knitting projects that are due in January. I have a lot of work to do.

Speaking of work to do, I'm at the MHC library, diligently working on a practice set that's due Tuesday. I hate these practice sets because they're so much work, and each section requires me to get the previous one correct, or else I get stuck. So far so good, but it can go bad quickly.

I totally forgot about the shared iTunes libraries on the network here. It's hard to listen to them for a long period of time, since the list is refreshed so often. I'm listening to NPR in Minnesota instead for classical music. They won't shut up about the winter storm that's hitting them now. It's getting up here by tomorrow night, but they're expecting it to turn into sleet/freezing rain.

I think I'm heading home in a few, my keyboard sticks and it's driving me crazy. Dave poured cough syrup on it a few weeks ago (seriously!), and it clearly needs to be cleaned again.

I ran across Holidailies, so I'm going to try to post something everyday. Lucky you!

Hey, did you sign up for aChristmas card yet?? If you did, why didn't you comment with your address? That's more than half of you!! I can't give you your card without an address, you know...

Woo, it's officially the Holiday Season!

It's that time, kiddos. I'd like to get a *gasp* head start on my cards this year, since I'm feeling super ambitious. I purchased supplies to make cards this year. Pretty! So, in order to figure out how much I have to bust my ass, I'm posting my annual Christmas Card Poll early. Vote anonymously and please post your address in the comments below. They're going to be screened so only I can see it. Let's assume I don't have your address so please comment! :)\

This is a lot of fun, and if you try it out for yourself, it's interesting to see what it suggests. It also gives you a personality analysis along the side.

It's very British, however, so be forewarned. (Oh, and all the gifts at the end are British as well.)
