My brothers and I baby-sat our cousin Scott in South Deerfield tonight. It was a lot of driving. From Springfield I drove to the mall, picked up Peter at Umass, drove to S. Deerfield, we went to the Route 9 diner in Hadley for dinner, back to S. Deerfield, dropped Pete off at Umass, and finally back to Springfield. I just got home and I'm exhausted.
Scott is a hilarious 7-year-old. The best was our conversation at the diner:
Me: Dave's coming and he's bringing Night at the Museum. Have you seen it yet?
Scott: No.... isn't that still in the theatres?
*Peter, Andrew and I all laugh.*
Me: Yes, but why don't you ask Dave about that when he gets up here?
Scott: I'm only saying that because Sarah went to go see it today.
I love that kid.
On another very random note, I think it says a lot about Chicopee as a town when there's a thicker layer of salt on the road than there is snow.
